Help kids get a handle on their worries by creating their very own worry doll. By taking the time to craft the doll themselves, they will create a connection to the doll and start to take control of their worries.
Customarily, worry dolls are small, hand-made dolls that originate from the highland indigenous people of Guatemala. According to the Mayan legend, if worrying keeps a person awake, he or she should tell one worry to each doll and then place the dolls under his or her pillow. During the night, the dolls will do the worrying for the person who then sleeps peacefully through the night.
